Local 150

Mammoet - Canadian Employment Opportunities

Mammoet Canadian Western, Ltd., a large international crane contractor, recently contacted Local 150 and told us of an upcoming need for certified crane operators on several refinery projects in Alberta, Canada. IUOE Local 955 and other Canadian Locals could not provide enough certied crane operators to fulfill the needs of the project, so they have begun to reach out to the rest of the International, starting with Local 150.

To the right, you will find several links with information on the projects as well as a link to apply. The timeline that we have been given to perform outreach to our members is extremely tight, so if this 2-4 month project is something you feel you may be interested in, complete the application IMMEDIATELY. Applications must be filled out by Noon on Monday, December 7th. Mammoet will then select applicants for interview, which will take place on Wednesday, December 9th. If you apply and are selected, you will be notified.

Please read over the application requirements before you apply. Among other requirements, selected applicants must take the Canadian Red Seal crane license examination, which Mammoet will help prepare selected candidates for.

On December 2nd and 3rd, Local 150 sent a letter to every member that has reported crane certifications on their cards at Dispatch. There is no time to waste. If this sounds like an opportunity that you might be interested in, apply immediately.
